China: Six killed,10 injured in car accident

Beijing/UNI: At least six people were killed and 10 injured on Sunday in a road accident in northeast China's Jilin Province, according to local public security authorities.

The accident occurred at 0540 am Sunday in Shiqiao Village in the city of Fuyu, Jilin Province, said the city's public security bureau.

A minivan crashed into the rear of a four-wheel tractor running in the same direction, then collided with a car running in the opposite direction.

Six died at the scene and 10 were injured and taken to hospital for treatment,Xinhua reported.

An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
