Kim Jong Un arrives in Russia for summit with Vladimir Putin

Moscow, Apr 24 (IBNS): North Korean leader Kim Jong Un visited Russia on Wednesday.

The North Korean leader arrived in the Russian city of Vladivostok for the summit with country's President Vladimir Putin. 

Wearing a black homburg and overcoat, he was greeted at the station by officials and a brass band. Putin was not part of the welcoming committee, reported CNN.

According to reports, the meeting between the two leaders is scheduled to take place on Thursday.

As per Sputnik news agency report, North Korea's chairman Kim Jong-un arrived in Vladivostok by train on Wednesday 24 April ahead of the summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Earlier, Kim Jong-un has expressed to Russian President Vladimir Putin his readiness to cooperate in order to reach peace on the Korean Peninsula and to develop relations between the two states, reported the news agency.
