London protest turns violent: Khalistani groups storm rally over Hindu lynching in Bangladesh

The incident has once again exposed the alleged playbook of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), with intelligence sources pointing to prior planning and mobilisation behind the disruption.

The protest was organised by the Bangladesh Hindu Association along with members of the Indian diaspora, days after the brutal killing of Bangladeshi factory worker Dipu Chandra Das—an incident that has drawn widespread condemnation both within Bangladesh and internationally.

According to the report, pro-Khalistan groups arrived at the protest venue at the exact time and location, leading to a brief scuffle outside the Bangladesh High Commission. Sources said their presence at a demonstration focused on minority rights in Bangladesh strongly indicated the involvement of external forces rather than a spontaneous act.

Meanwhile, the Bangladesh police have intensified their crackdown on those responsible for the lynching. The Detective Branch (DB) recently arrested six more individuals during a raid in Bhaluka Upazila of Mymensingh district.

Those arrested have been identified as Takbir (22) from Sunamganj, Ruhul Amin (42) from Thakurgaon, Nur Alam (33) from Sadar upazila, Shamim Mia (28) from Tarakanda in Mymensingh, Selim Mia (22) from Noakhali, and Masum Khalashi (23) from Madaripur district, according to the Dhaka Tribune.

The killing of Dipu Chandra Das on December 18 sparked outrage across Bangladesh and abroad, once again raising concerns over the safety and rights of religious minorities in the country.

Dipu Chandra Das, a Hindu youth and factory worker, was beaten to death by a mob in Mymensingh district after being accused of blasphemy. Reports said he was brutally assaulted and his body was later set on fire—an act that triggered sharp criticism and renewed international scrutiny of minority protection in Bangladesh.
