Man stabbed near York University in Toronto

Toronto, Sept 13 (IBNS): A young man, probably in his 20s, succumbed to injuries after he was stabbed in the north end of Toronto, near the York University.

A 31-year old man has been arrested in connection with the incident, police confirmed.

According to the police, both involved in the incident knew each other and had been allegedly involved in an argument, when the stabbing occurred.

Local witnesses however said the argument shaped on the grounds of religion.

The victim was found without any vital signs around 1 AM and when he was brought to the Humber River Hospital, he was pronounced dead.

The details of the dead man are yet to be released by police as they are trying to notify his next of kin.

It is presumed that the suspect belongs to the York University.
