Kathmandu, Feb 24 (IBNS) The burnt wreckage of the Tara Air place that had crashed in Nepal on Wednesday have been located at Tirkhe Dhunga in the western district of Myagdi and all the 23 people, including two children and two foreigners, killed, according to media reports.

The airline, in an official statement on its website on Wednesday afternoon has said, "With deepest regret and extreme shock, Tara Air Private Limited management informs the crash of this airlines' flight no. TA 193 on aircraft 9N-AHH that took off from Pokhara to Jomsom at 7.50 am local time. We extend our deepest sympathies to the families and friends of the deceased. Our management is cooperating fully in the investigation."

The statement has given a hotline number: 014465888

The Twin-Otter turbo prop aircraft had gone missing soon after it took off from Pokhara airport on its flight to Jomsom, a popular starting point for treks into the Himalayas.
Reportedly, the aircraft caught fire after the accident.

Of the 23 people on board, 18 were Nepalese citizens, including the two children, one Chinese and one Kuwaiti, and three crew members.

Officials from Nepal’s Civil Aviation Authority have said that the reason of crash is yet to be probed.

A preliminary investigation has suggested that low visibility due to a cloud of dust shrouding the area following dry landslides in Mount Annapurna might have caused the crash, according to media reports.
