Nigeria mosque attack leaves 50 killed

Abuja, Nov 21 (IBNS): At least 50 people were killed as a suicide attack hit a mosque in Nigerian state of Adamawa on Tuesday, media reports said.

Worshippers were reportedly present in large numbers inside the mosque when the suicide attack took place.

Morning prayers were going on inside the mosque at the time of the blast.

Meanwhile, condemning the incident,  former Vice President of Nigeria Atiku Abubakar tweeted: "I’m sad. Sad about the bombing in Mubi. I pray for our people affected by this incident,but I know that is not enough. We must remain vigilant, work together until all of us are safe."

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
