Pakistan: Anti-state activities claimed 245 lives in November

245 individuals, including 68 security personnel and 50 civilians, died after Pakistan witnessed a month of anti-state violence in November, official data showed.

As per official data, 257 people were injured in the same month.

The data was released by the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS).

It reported a rise in militant activity, with 71 attacks recorded in November compared to 68 in October.

Underscoring the escalating security challenges faced by the country, it noted that deaths from militant attacks have exceeded 1,000 (1,082) during the last 11 months when a total of 856 militant attacks were recorded, compared to 645 recorded in the entire 2023, Dawn News reported.
