Unknown people attacked a camp of road construction workers in Duki district on Wednesday and kidnapped three labourers who were working at the site.

Police officials told Dawn News that the armed men stormed the camp, which was set up for the construction of a road linking Duki to the Chamalang coal mines field.

The attackers even cordoned off the camp and ransacked it.

They even set the camp on fire.

“Machinery was completely gutted in the fire,” a senior police officer told Dawn News, adding that the armed men, while fleeing the scene, also abducted three labourers at gunpoint. The kidnapped workers belong to Kuchlak.
