Pakistan: Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) Minister for Agriculture Janbaz Khan dies due to COVID-19 infection

Quetta:  Another key Pakistani regional minister has died after he was infected by COVID-19, media reports said.

Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) Minister for Agriculture Janbaz Khan died on Thursday.

“He had been on a ventilator for four days,” a doctor at Gilgit’s city hospital where the 64-year-old minister was admitted told The Express Tribune.

“He had a heart related disease, besides diabetes,” said the doctor – also treating Malik Miskeen, another seasoned politician from district Diamer.

He is one of the  founding members of the Pakistan Muslim League.

Pakistan has recorded 173856 COVID-19 cases so far.

The country witnessed the death of 3417 COVID-19 infected people
