Islamabad: After losing the no-confidence vote in parliament and being removed as the prime minister of Pakistan last night, Imran Khan will chair a meeting of his party's core committee on Sunday to lay a roadmap for his party's future strategy, Geo TV reported.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party's (PTI) senior leader and lawmaker, Faisal Javed Khan tweeted the development.

"Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan will chair the core committee meeting of the party today insha'ALLAH," he wrote.

"Imran Khan will announce the future course of action," he added.

The PTI leader ended his tweet with a slogan of 'Pakistan Zindabad' [Long Live Pakistan].

Imran Khan is the first prime minister in the country's history to be vetoed out from his office as a result of a no-confidence motion.
