Pakistan: Shooting in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province leaves three people killed

Islamabad: At least three people were killed and four others were hurt in a  shooting incident in Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Monday, media reports said.

According to reports, unknown gunmen opened fire at a funeral in the region.

The incident happened on the outskirts of the provincial capital Peshawar where the gunmen sprayed bullets at the people coming for the funeral, Sher Gul from the non-governmental rescue organization Edhi Foundation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa told Xinhua.

The injured people were rushed to hospital for treatment.

The area was cordoned off by police.

Police have started an investigation into the incident.
