Police arrest three Rohingya men with Bangladeshi passports

Dhaka, Sept 6 (IBNS): Bangladesh police have arrested three Rohingya men with Bangladeshi passports in their possessions, media reports said.

They were on their way to Dhaka to apply for Turkish visas, the police told bdnews24.

The arrested people were identified as MD Yusuf, 23, his younger brother Md Musa, 20, and Md Aziz alias Ayaiz, 21.

They have been living in Hakimpara Rohingya Camp in Ukhia's Khaiyangkhali since fleeing persecution in their homeland Myanmar two years ago, reported bdnews24.

Akbarshah Police Station chief Mostafizur Rahman Chowdhury told the news portal that these people were arrested from Dhaka-Chattogram Highway on Thursday night.

A case of forgery has been initiated against them.
