Serving as PM was the greatest honour: David Cameron

London, July 13 (IBNS): As he prepared to formally submit his resignation, David Cameron on Wednesday said serving as the British Prime Minister was the "greatest honour" of his life.
During his speech at the Downing Street, Cameron, who was accompanied by his wife and children, said that UK was "much stronger" than when he took over, BBC News reported.

According to reports, he is scheduled to submit his resignation formally to the British Queen.

On his resignation, Theresa May will be appointed to head the post.

Cameron had last month announced his resignation after Britain chose to leave the European Union following a re referendum voting.

Cameron had put his neck on the line by an aggressive pro-EU campaign.

Before leaving for Buckingham Palace on Wednesday, Cameron told media that he said his only wish was "continued success for this great country that I love so very much."
