UAE President orders release of 803 prisoners

Dubai, Aug 28 (IBNS): In a major development, UAE President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan has ordered the release of 803 prisoners.

The order to release the prisoners were made by the President on the occasion of Eid Al Adha.

"The pardoned prisoners had been sentenced to jail terms for a variety of offences," reported the Khaleej Times.

According to reports, the UAE President has even pledged to settle the financial obligations of the released prisoners.
