Venkaiah Naidu shares his encounter with thief in Barcelona

New Delhi, Nov 21 (IBNS): Union Minister of Urban Development Venkaiah Naidu on Friday shared his experience in Barcelona where a thief stole his bag but later threw it back in panic, media reports said.

Naidu’s bag with his passport was stolen from the lobby of his hotel at a time when he was about to leave for India on Thursday.

“I lost my passport, but immediately got it back. The thief realized that it was a diplomatic passport and immediately threw it back as he realised that he would be caught. But he took the laptop and credit card,” Naidu told media persons.

The Union minister said quickly he could get an emergency passport to the Officer on Special Duty and could come back on time. Naidu visited Spain to address the “Smart City Expo World Congress”.
