'Sunny Leone' in legal trouble after she tops Bihar engineering test
Patna, Feb 22 (The Bihar Post/IBNS): Actress Sunny Leone has come under serious legal trouble, literally!
A day after the Canadian-born Indian-American actress namesake topped the provisional merit list of candidates to be recruited as junior engineers in Bihar, the state government has registered an FIR against her.
The case has been registered with Shastrinagar police station in Patna, media reports said on Friday.
As many as 17,000 candidates had applied against vacancy for 214 posts of Junior Engineer (Civil) in Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Bihar recently and one of them surprisingly was 27-year-old Leone who claimed herself as a resident of Patna.
The entire story hit the media headlines after this merit chart with Sunny Leone as topper went viral in the social media, amply exposing the prevailing state of affairs in the Bihar government.
PHED secretary Jtendra Srivastava while taking the matter seriously has announced to register FIR against the mischief maker.
“This is not a mischief but a serious offence for which an FIR is being lodged soon,” Srivastava told the media today adding the action tantamounted to “obstructing government works and impersonation” since the accused has also uploaded the photograph of the actress.
“Just because of Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar’s policy of fake education, fake degree and fake appointment, Sunny Leone has now topped the examination for junior engineers,” alleged RJD legislator and Bihar opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav, mocking the prevailing system in the NDA government.
However, PHED minister Vinod Narayan Jha played down the issue saying there was nothing to worry as the candidates would have to pass through the verification process of their documents and those who played the mischief would automatically be caught.
