Movie on Narendra Modi to release on Apr 12

Mumbai, Mar 15 (IBNS): The movie based on Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release on Apr 12.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted, " Release date finalised... #PMNarendraModi to release on 12 April 2019... Stars Vivek Anand Oberoi in the title role... Directed by Omung Kumar... Produced by Sandip Ssingh, Anand Pandit and Suresh Oberoi."

Actor Vivek Oberoi will portray the character of Modi in the movie.

The movie is directed by Omung Kumar.

Omung and his love for biopics:

Omung Kumar has worked in several biopics in the past.

Sarbjit:  Sarbjit was a 2016 Indian biographical drama. The film featured Aishwarya Rai as Dalbir Kaur and Randeep Hooda portrayed the title role Sarabjit Singh, an Indian man who was sentenced to death by the Supreme Court of Pakistan in 1991 and who consequently spent 22 years in prison for alleged terrorism and spying while Richa Chadda and Darshan Kumar play supporting roles.

Mary Kom: Mary Kom was a 2014 Indian biographical sports film directed by Omung Kumar and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali in association with Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. The film starred Priyanka Chopra in the lead role of the eponymous boxer, with Darshan Kumar and Sunil Thapa in supporting roles of her husband and mentor, respectively. Mary Kom depicted Kom's journey of becoming a boxer to her victory at the 2008 World Boxing Championships in Ningbo.
