Aditya Chopra pre-pones release of Dum Laga Ke Haisha

Mumbai, Feb 9 (IBNS) Aditya Chopra has pre-poned the release date of his upcoming next film for emotional reasons.

For YRF’s film, Dum Laga Ke Haisha, the producer decided to release the film on  Feb 27 despite being recommended a week later release date by his distribution team.

The weekend of 6th March is the Holi weekend and so a better date for release but Aditya Chopra pre-poned it as Anushka Sharma’s first production, NH 10 releases on that day.

Anushka Sharma got her dream launch by Aditya Chopra in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and now he is all set to launch the next YRF heroine, Bhumi Pednekar in Dum Laga Ke Haisha.

Since both the actresses are launches of Aditya Chopra, he did not want their films to clash as they are both important for him.

When contacted the spokesperson of YRF confirms the news and adds, "The distribution team strongly felt that 6th March was a better date to release our film because it is the Holi weekend but we chose a prior release date for emotional reasons. Both Anushka Sharma and now Bhumi Pednekar are launches of Aditya Chopra and we did not want both their films to clash."
