Mumbai, June 21 (IBNS): Actors Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Hindi film Kabir Singh hit the big screens on Friday.
It is a remake by Sandeep Vanga of his own Telegu film Arjun Reddy.
Kabir Singh is being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, Krishan Kumar, Ashwin Varde, T-series and Cine1Studios.
Speaking about the challenges to portray Kabir Singh, Kapoor said during film promotions, "See the most challenging thing is always to rediscover a film which has already been made. I had liked Arjun Reddy. We tried to find the soul of Kabir Singh and convey his pain, intensity and persona to the audience so the effort was to try and make an original film without losing the inherent beauty of Arjun Reddy."
Earlier, Kapoor and Advani were seen featuring in music video Urvashi.
Sharing her experience of working with Kapoor in Kabir Singh, Advani said: "Working with him, there was no moment which I felt to be dishonest. My character Preeti is more responsive than reactive and completely opposite of Kabir. So every time I had to feed off than energy.
It was so easy to work with Shahid because I just had to respond to what he was doing. He made it easy for me. From the first day, I never had to give an extra effort. It was flowed, magical and organic. He is one of the finest actors we have so he is such an amazing co-star to work with."
Advani made her Bollywood debut with Fugly in 2014 but caught the limelight in MS Dhoni: The Untold Story couple of years later. Recently, the 26-year old actress raised the temperature with her item song in Kalank, dancing with actor Varun Dhawan.
