Mumbai, July 2 (IBNS): Actor Ayushmann Khurrana's latest released movie Article 15 is performing strongly at the Box Office in India and has not earned Rs. 24 crore till Monday.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted: " #Article15 is super-strong on the crucial Mon... Braves #KabirSingh juggernaut + torrential rains in #Mumbai, yet stays solid at key metros... Eyes ₹ 34 cr [+/-] in Week 1... Fri 5.02 cr, Sat 7.25 cr, Sun 7.77 cr, Mon 3.97 cr. Total: ₹ 24.01 cr. India biz."

Ayushmann's Article 15 released on Friday.

His last two released movies- Baadhai Ho and Andhadhun- were straight away hits.

In this movie, Ayushmann, who has been seen often playing the character of a Delhi lad in movie, is playing the role of a policeman.

Directed by Anubhav Sinha produced by Zee Studios and Benaras Media Works, the movie stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Isha Talwar, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra and Manoj Pahwa.

The film is based on Article 15 of the Indian Constitution, which prohibits discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth.

The movie has also landed into some controversy since its release.

On Monday, media reports emerged that the screening of the film was stalled in Kanpur city of Uttar Pradesh.

It is now being reported that the screening of the movie has also been banned in Roorkee, Uttarakhand over law and order concerns, reported Times Now.

Certain Brahmin outfits had earlier alleged that the movie was aiming to malign their community.
