Deepika receives support for her mental health initiative

Mumbai, Feb 17 (IBNS) Bollywood star Deepika Padukone recently took a bold step by talking about how she personally underwent anxiety and depression last year.

It was hard hitting fact and her story touched many people. While they were surprised at such a revelation, they were also emphatic and high on praise for the courage she displayed.

Ever since then Deepika's phone has been ringing non stop.

On one hand Deepika’s extended family, friends and friends of friends reached out to her, on the other even a lot of doctors, healers, babba's, NGO 's and even individuals have been trying to get in touch with Deepika and her team to offer support and guidance.

Deepika has taken up anxiety and depression as a cause and she would be spreading awareness about it.

A lot of these bodies have proposed to become part of her initiative.

Deepika has been meeting a panel of doctors who have been working on the initiative.

She has also asked her team to gather all the requests that have come in and in due course of time they will leaf through them and work a way out to join hands with whoever can help spread awareness about the cause.

Deepika also received a lot of calls and messages from people from the industry in appreciation of her bold move and a lot of them have offered to help in her cause in any way possible.

Spokesperson of Deepika confirms the news and shares "Deepika has been receiving a lot of positive feedback and requests from varied quarters who are all keen to help spread the initiative"
