Hansal Mehta son follows footsteps of filmmaker father

Mumbai, Feb 20 (IBNS): Jai Mehta is what you would call chip off the old block. National Award-winning filmmaker Hansal Mehta's son is following the footsteps of his father.

Aspiring to be a film director himself, Jai has been assisting Hansal on his recent projects.

Currently Jai is in UP making sure that his father's new film Aligarh is all smooth sailing. The young man has been associated with the Manoj Bajpayee-Rajkummar Rao starrer right from the inception and has been involved in every stage of its making, right from recce to production. Earlier Jai has assisted Hansal on both Shahid and Citylights.

"What more can a father want than to see his son so passionately immersed in the same craft?" says a beaming Hansal. "I hope Jai goes out there and soon makes something on his own. He's got terrific stories to tell."
