Sara Ali Khan faces backlash on social media for celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi
Mumbai: Actress Sara Ali Khan has recently faced backlash from the fundamentalists on social media for celebrating Hindu festival Ganesh Chaturthi.
Sara faced the backlash after she on Tuesday posted a picture on Instagram. In the picture, Sara is seen standing in front of Lord Ganesh's idol and wishing people, "Ganpati Bappa Morya!! May Ganesh Ji remove all your obstacles, and fill your year with laughter, positivity and success."
But the picture has not gone down well with several people who attacked Sara, a daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, by commenting on the post.
One user in the name of ajmalkhanhamzazai said, " Muslimno ka naam kariab na karna plz agar is Tara ki kam karna hai toh naam change karo (don't defame Muslims. If you have to do all these, please change your name)."

Sara Ali Khan I think tum muslim ho Saif Ali Khan tmhare father bhi muslim he phir tum hindu q ban rahi ho Ganpati Bappa Morya q Tuba karo sharam karo or Shukar ada karo tm muslim ho 😕 (Shameless. Why are you trying to become a Hindu when your father is a Muslim. You should be ashamed)."
