Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan improves BO collection on second day, Ayushmann Khurrana's movie shines

Mumbai/IBNS: Ayushmann Khurrana's Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan witnessed a massive surge in the Box office collection on Saturday as the movie earned Rs. 20 crores in the first two days.

The movie, which even earned the attention of US President Donald Trump, gained Rs. 11 crores on the second day.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted: "#ShubhMangalZyadaSaavdhan jumps on Day 2... Metros witness growth, while mass pockets remain strictly average... The trend suggests further growth on Day 3... Eyes ₹ 34 cr [+/-] weekend, which is a healthy score... Fri 9.55 cr, Sat 11.08 cr. Total: ₹ 20.63 cr. #India biz. #SMZS."

The gay comedy released on Friday.

Ayushmann, who has delivered one hit after another for the past two years, appeared onscreen for the first time in 2020 with this movie and if trends movie in this way then his latest one will also make it big at the Box Office.

Actors Jitendra Kumar, Ayushmann, Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao are part of the movie.

It is directed by Hitesh Kewalya.

Touted as the first mainstream commercial gay love story in Bollywood, the movie is a standalone sequel to the 2017 film ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’.
