Mumbai/IBNS: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has sealed the gym AntiGravity Club here after Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor and his wife Mira Rajput were spotted working out there defying the order of the government which has shut down all gymnasiums across the state over the Novel Coronavirus scare, Mumbai Mirror reported.

According to the news publication, Kapoor was spotted at the VIP zone in the gym while Rajput was training in the general workout area.

The couple was in the gym for two hours on Sunday evening.

Though gym owner Yudhishthir Jaising has denied the claim, the BMC has reportedly rapped both Kapoor and Jaising over their "irresponsible behaviour".

Vinayak Vispute, the assistant municipal commissioner of H-West  ward, said both were reprimanded for violating the state government's health advisory.

Refuting the claims, Jaising said, "The gym has been shut since Friday. We are not aware of it being sealed on Monday. There is no commercial activity and there are no trainers. We will follow the government’s advisory.”

Mumbai, the financial capital of the country, is in Maharashtra which has recorded the maximum number of positive Coronavirus cases (36) taking the total number across the country to 126 (as per last update).

Among the three deceased, the latest is a 64-year old man who passed away at Mumbai's Kasturba Hospital on Tuesday.
