Mumbai/IBNS: Spreading a message across all sections of the society, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has on social media rebuked the anti-Coronavirus lockdown violators and also took a strong stand against the attacks on the health workers.

In his nine odd minute video, Khan narrated an incident where his friend had taken off his mask during a conversation with a police officer while on his way to buy essential items.

But he also said people who are not obeying the lockdown will ultimately lead their families to death.

"All are staying at home except a few who are violating the lockdown," he said.

Speaking against the violence against the health workers, the superstar said, "You are throwing stones at people who are treating you!"

Though the lockdown has been by and large successful, there were few incidents where people were seen congregating on streets.

Also Khan urged people to pray at home as per one's own religion.

In a recent incident in West Bengal's Murshidabad, people were seen visiting a mosque to offer prayers violating the social distancing norms and putting the lives of millions at risk.

Though the lockdown was initially called for 21 days, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended it till May 3 to stem the spread of COVID-19.
