COVID-19 survivor Kanika Kapoor breaks her silence, confirms she is at home in Lucknow
Mumbai/IBNS: Singer Kanika Kapoor, who was recently discharged after COVID-19 treatment, said she chose to be silent as she gave time for the truth to prevail and for people to reach their own realisation.
She said she is currently staying at her home in Lucknow with her parents.
"Every person that I have come in contact with be it in UK, Mumbai or Lucknow has shown no symptoms of Covid-19. In fact all those tested have been negative," the Bollywood singer said in her statement.

She also spoke on her travel history and said: "I travelled from UK to Mumbai on March 10 and was duly screened at the international airport. I travelled to Lucknow the following day on March 11 to see my family. There was no screening set up for domestic flights."
"On March 14 and 15 I attended a friend's lunch and dinner. There was no party hosted by me and I was in absolute normal health. I had symptoms on March 17 and 18 so I requested to be tested," she said.
She revealed that she has been staying in her home for the past 21 days since being discharged from hospital after recovering from the disease.
"Negativity thrown at a person does not change the Reality," she concluded her statement.
Kapoor is known for singing tracks like 'Baby Doll' and 'Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan'.
Kapoor had courted a row by attending a party in Lucknow after coming from abroad instead of isolating herself for 14 days.
However, the singer had earlier also said she was not advised by the airport authorities to self-isolate herself after returning to the country.
Later a police complaint was filed against her at Sarojini Nagar police station on charges of negligence.
