Actress Rati Agnihotri files domestic violence case against husband

Mumbai, Mar 15 (IBNS): Bollywood actress Rati Agnihotri has lodged an FIR with the Mumbai Police accusing her husband of domestic violence and intimidation.
According to reports, Agnihotri has alleged that her husband, Anil Virwani, had mentally tortured her besides assaulting her physically.
 
A case was registered on Saturday against Virwani under IPC sections 498A (husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 350 (use of criminal force) and 506 (criminal intimidation).
 
The 54-year-old actress, who stays in south Mumbai's Worli area with her architect-businessman husband and  actor son Tanuj, alleged that she had been suffering the violence for a long time.
 
She had earlier complained to the police orally.
 
The actress is married to Virwani since 1985.
 
Agnihotri has acted in several films and gained immense success for her role in the 1981 blockbuster 'Ek Duje Ke Liye'.
