Mumbai/IBNS: Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui's wife Aaliya has sent a legal notice to her husband seeking divorce though the Badlapur star is yet to respond to it.

Aaliya Siddiqui told The Indian Express, "I have sent him a legal notice, but he has not replied.”

Not going deeper into the reasons for which she is seeking an end to her a decade-long marriage, Aaliya said, "I won’t be able to speak on the issues right away, but yes, we have been having problems from the last ten years.

And now, during the lockdown, I got thinking and thought I had to end this marriage. I had sent him the notice much before he left for Muzaffarpur, and he has not yet replied to my notice, so I have to take a legal route now.”

The notice was sent via e-mail and Whatsapp on May 7.

Nawazuddin, who turned 46 on Tuesday, along with his family except Aaliya earlier this week travelled to their home in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar to celebrate Eid.

The actor, who travelled from Mumbai to the UP village after taking respective permission from the authorities, has been tested Coronavirus-negative along with his family members.

He is currently in quarantine with his family members for 14 days.
