Solace for music lovers in Covid world: Times of Music now available on MX Player

Kolkata/IBNS: Music has been the light at the end of the tunnel for many of us. The reality show Times of Music does the same for all of us at a time when the entire world is facing the invisible enemy Novel Coronavirus or Covid-19.

The reality show brings together 20 legendary composers.

The show, which is hosted by musician Vishal Dadlani, was launched amongst the presence of legendary composers like Pyarelal and the Sachin-Jigar duo.

It features two composers of different eras soaked in the philosophy of each other’s celebrated song and then interpreted it in their own style, creating a fabulous new rendition.

This MX player original series is an 11-episode series, including  performances of  Vishal & Shekhar–Bappi Lahiri; Salim-Sulaiman & Pyarelalji; Sachin-Jigar & Euphoria; Shantanu Moitra-Amaal Mallik; Amit Trivedi-Agnee; Viju Shah-Mithoon; Rajesh Roshan-Himesh Reshammiya; Anand Milind & Sajid-Wajid; Ajay-Atul & Kalyanji-Anandji, and Indian Ocean-Sneha Khanwalkar.

“The world of the film inspires me to create music for films, while I also jam with writers before approaching it. After that you can only wish for it to be received in the best possible way,” said composer Amit Trivedi.

MX Player will play the musical extravaganza every Saturday-Sunday showcasing 20 phenomenal composers and 22 iconic songs at no cost.

Presented by Smule, the show is powered by Ace2Three.

The man behind the curtains and stellar line up Gautam Talvar commented, "Part tribute, Part story-telling, the whole show is a passion project for all who were involved.”
