Aishwarya and her daughter also tested positive. The 'Jeans' actress was shifted to hospital late last week.

Meanwhile Aishwarya's  Pink Panther 2 co-star and Hollywood actor Steve Martin wished the Indian diva and tweeted: "I’m wishing Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her daughter a speedy recovery. She was such an elegant and delightful acting partner in Pink Panther."

In the meantime, Amitabh Bachchan, who is currently undergoing COVID-19 treatment at Mumbai's Nanavati Super Speciality Hospital, thanked his fans in a new tweet for the overflowing prayers and well wishes extended to his family.

Sharing an image featuring himself, son Abhishek, daughter-in-law Aishwarya and granddaughter Aaradhya, Big B tweeted: "We see your love... we hear your prayers... we fold our hands... in gratitude and thanks!"

The actor had tested positive for the contagion on July 11 after which he was admitted to hospital.

He himself confirmed the news on Twitter after which his son actor Abhishek Bachchan too tweeted that he tested positive for the virus as well.
