Sushant death case: Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Shibani Dandekar lash out at 'vilification' of Rhea Chakraborty
Mumbai/IBNS: Several leading Hindi film actresses have lashed out at the "vilification" of actress Rhea Chakraborty in the death case of Bollywood star Sushant Singh Rajput.
Besides demanding justice for Sushant, film actress Lakhshmi Manchu took to Twitter to support Rhea.
In a statement, Lakhshmi said, "I see so many people so silent because the media has made a monster out of a girl. I don't know the truth and I want to know the truth and I hope the truth will come out in the most honest way.
"I have complete trust in the judiciary system and all the agencies that are involved in bringing justice to Sushant. But until then we can restrain ourselves from being evil and cruel and lynching of person and her entire family without knowing the facts."
She also said, "I'm standing up for my colleague."
@sardesairajdeep @Tweet2Rhea @itsSSR . Wake up my industry friends... stop this lynching. #letthetruthprevail pic.twitter.com/5SCEX8Un8H

Retweeing Lakhshmi's post, Taapsee Pannu said, "I didn’t know Sushant on a personal level nor do I know Rhea but what I know is, it only takes to be a human to understand how wrong it is to overtake judiciary to convict someone who isn’t proven guilty. Trust the law of the land for your sanity and the deceased’s sanctity."

Singer-actress-anchor-model Shibani Dandekar, who is a long-time friend of Rhea, said on Instagram, "I've known Rhea Chakraborty since she was 16 years old! Vibrant, strong, vivacious.. such a bright spark.. so full of life! I've witnessed such a stark contrast to this side of her personality over the last few months as her and her family..."
Sushant was found dead at his own flat in Mumbai's Bandra on Jun 14.
The late actor's father KK Singh had filed a First Information Report (FIR) with Bihar Police against Sushant's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty for abbeting his suicide and siphoning Rs. 15 crore.
As now the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is probing into the death case, a WhatsApp conversation, where Rhea was allegedly seen talking about drugs, has surfaced.
