Kangana wraps up shooting for Jayalalithaa biopic 'Thalaivi', tweets gratitude to team
Mumbai/IBNS: Actor Kangana Ranaut on Saturday took to Twitter to share with her fans an emotional note as she wrapped up the shooting for her 'ambitious' project 'Thalaivi', a biopic made on former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and veteran politician late J Jayalalithaa.
She had earlier stunned her fans with her first look from the film where she had appeared to have a striking resemblance to the late politician including the imitation of her mannerisms.
After wrapping up the shoot, Kangana wrote an emotional note in a tweet, stating: "And it’s a wrap, today we successfully completed the filming of our most ambitious project Thalaivi- the revolutionary leader, rarely an actor finds a character that comes alive in flesh and blood and I fall in love so hard but now suddenly it’s time to say bye, mixed feelings."

The movie is a biopic on the former Tamil Nadu CM. It will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
The Bollywood 'Queen' of controversy lived up to her outspokenness this year. Rather she pushed the envelope with all guns blazing with the tragic end of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Kangana stoked the fire when she alleged that the 'Kedarnath' actor did not suffer from any mental illness and was rather "murdered". As her battle raged with the Shiv Sena dispensation in Mumbai, Kangana found herself sucked into it further when in September a portion of her Pali Hill office was demolished by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) holding that it was an "illegal construction”. The act saw Kangana taking on Uddhav Thackeray head on and warning him of the consequences. She got relief from the Bombay High Court on Nov 27 when it quashed BMC’s order on demolition.
The 'Queen' even engaged herself in a Twitter battle with actor Diljit Dosanjh over the farmers' protest. In the world of social media, Kangana also joined Twitter this year and keeps posting her controversial views on different issues, not even sparing industry veterans like Jaya Bachchan.
