Mumbai: Singer Armaan Malik on Wednesday described 2022 as a 'Black year for Indian music' following the death of KK.

Singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as 'KK', died in Kolkata on Tuesday evening after delivering a performance at the city's Nazrul Mancha. He was 53.
One of the most versatile singers of this generation, KK has recorded songs in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, Assamese and Gujarati languages films.
He arrived in Kolkata on Monday for back-to-back performances here.
After his performance at the Nazrul Mancha, he returned to his hotel. He felt sick there and was rushed to the CMRI Hospital where he was declared brought dead at 10 PM, hospital sources told IBNS. An autposy would be conducted on Wednesday to ascertain the cause of his death.
