'New beginning, new life finally': Lalit Modi takes internet by storm posting pics with 'better half' Sushmita Sen

Businessman and former chairman of Indian Premier League (IPL), Lalit Modi, Thursday took the internet by storm as he announced a "new beginning" with actor Sushmita Sen and called her his "better half".

Initially, the fans went into a frenzy as they were discussing if the two were married. However, Modi quickly responded clarifying that the two are just "dating".

"Just back in london after a whirling global tour #maldives #sardinia with the families - not to mention my #betterhalf @sushmitasen47 - a new beginning a new life finally. Over the moon (sic)," Lalit Modi tweeted at first.

He followed it up with another tweet, clarifying that they both aren't married yet, just dating. "Not married - just dating each other. That too it will happen one day," he wrote.

Lalit Modi left India in 2010 after facing investigations into tax evasion and money laundering. He has been in London since then.

Sushmita Sen was crowned the Miss Universe in 1994. She made her Bollywood debut in the 1996 film Dastak. She has featured in films such as Biwi No 1, Do Knot Disturb, Main Hoon Na, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya and Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge and No Problem. she is now a very prominent face on the OTT with her popular show Aarya.
