Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood veteran and politician Hema Malini surprised many daily metro passengers after she took a ride in it to beat the traffic in Mumbai.

On her way back from Dahisar, Hema Malini opted for a metro and an auto ride to reach Juhu in just half an hour as compared to the over two hours journey going up.

When she boarded the metro, many of her fans reached out to her seeking selfies.

The 'Dream Girl' tweeted, "I must share with all of you my unique, wonderful experience.Drove 2 hours to reach Dahisar by car, so tiring! In the eve decided I would try the metro, and OMG! What a joy it was!True, we went thro tough times during the constr, but worth it! Clean, fast & ws in Juhu in 1/2 hr."

After her metro ride, the actor took an auto ride from DG Nagar to Juhu.

"After my metro experience, decided to go by auto from DN Nagar to Juhu & that too was fulfilled. Landed by auto at my house & the dazed security could not believe their eyes! All in all, a wonderful, pleasurable experience for me! In the metro with the public," she tweeted.

Hema Malini is a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Lok Sabha MP from Mathura constituency.
