New Delhi/UNI: Rajkumar Hirani is a filmmaker who has always struck the right chord with his films and delivered marvellous cinematic experiences.
His films and stories have always been a mirror to society, and one of the landmark films from his oeuvre, ‘Sanju’, the biopic of Sanjay Dutt, has completed five years of its release on Thursday.
Hirani-directed ‘Sanju’ is an achingly beautiful film that delivers solid drama and layered emotions along with a terrific and clap-worthy climax.
It won’t be erroneous to state that ‘Sanju’ is one of Hirani's most accomplished works till date, and the film is a reaffirmation of the master storyteller's grasp over his craft.
Hirani's films are known for their focused screenplay, and they always pique the audience's interest, keeping them involved in the narrative.
The characters are well-etched and powerfully portrayed. ‘Sanju’, in fact, is another classic example of a watertight screenplay that seamlessly weaves intricate drama and emotions into the narrative.
‘Sanju’ is an exquisitely-made biopic and an emotionally enriching experience that every cinema lover should witness. The film features captivating characters, which are brilliantly performed by the cast. Ranbir Kapoor as ‘Sanju’ is a class apart.
Apart from the performances, the music, direction, screenwriting, and pacing of the movie make it look fresh even after five years of release.
On the work front, Hirani has ‘Dunki’ in the pipeline.
