Family members of late Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar have decided to demolish his Pali Hill bungalow and create a luxurious residential structure on the plot, a project which is expected to generate a whooping revenue of Rs 900 crore, media reports said.

According to reports, a museum to commemorate the actor’s remarkable life and achievements is likely to be constructed on the ground floor of the structure.

The plot spans across an expansive half-acre land parcel and is among Mumbai’s most sought-after locations. The project boasts an impressive 1.75 lakh square feet of total construction area, distributed across 11 floors, reports The Indian Express.

The family members of the actor have partnered with realty developer Ashar Group for the project.

Dilip Kumar’s Pali Hill plot had been embroiled in legal disputes for years. Dilip’s family had accused a real estate firm of forging documents with the intention of taking over the property, reported the newspaper.

Dilip Kumar's wife Saira Banu in 2017 announced she got back the key to the Pali Hill property following a long court battle.
