Tamil Film 'Leo' director Lokesh hurt during movie promotion event in Kerala
Tamil film "Leo" director Lokesh Kanagaraj suffered minor injuries during a promotion programme organized by his fans at Aroma Theatre here.
Following the incident, Lokesh returned to Chennai at 1100 hours after cancelling his scheduled programme and press meet at Thrissur and Kochi, on Tuesday.
Hundreds of fans flocked to the Aroma Theatre to see the director of "Leo film" starring Vijay Thalapathy from 1000 hrs at theatre premises.
Police and security personnel also camped at the theatre premises to control the fans. However, due to the unprecedented rush of fans, police failed to control them.
Police cane-charged to disburse the fans. In the melee, Lokesh Kanagaraj suffered minor leg injury due to the rush of fans.
The scheduled promotion programme at Thrissur Ragam theatre at 1215 hours and 1700 hours at Kavitha theatre in Ernakulam and the press meet of Lokesh at Kochi in the evening was cancelled.
Later, Lokesh Kanagaraj wrote on his social media "X" " Thank you Keralites for your love, overwhelmed, happy and grateful to see you all in Palakkad.
Due to a small injury in the crowd. I would not make it to the other two venues at Thrissur and Kochi and the press meet.
I would certainly come back to meet you all in Kerala again soon. Till then continue enjoying "Leo" with the same love".
