Mumbai/UNI/IBNS: The beloved couch is back with its most loved and versatile host Karan Johar as Hotstar Specials’ 'Koffee with Karan' returns for its eighth season.
Dropping new episodes every Thursday exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar, viewers will be on a whirlwind journey of getting up close and personal with celebrities starting October 26.
Being the most awaited season, the first episode couldn’t get any better as star-couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh come together for the first time ever on the 'Koffee' couch, spilling the beans on their marriage, proposal, and more
Everyone wishes for a Bollywood-style love story but not everyone is as lucky as Ranveer Singh to meet the love of his life in the most dramatic way! On Koffee with Karan’s infamous couch, Ranveer Singh shared his experience of meeting his real-life heroine.
Sharing the incident where he first saw Deepika, Ranveer said, "There was a famous or infamous reading for Ram Leela at Mr. Bhansali’s house in Versova. I was supposed to meet him before Deepika’s arrival. So I was sitting on the table and the door was on my left.
"He has these heavy doors and he lives by the seaside. So, these heavy doors open and the gush of wind comes from the sea. There, Deepika enters wearing this white chikankar, hair blowing due to the sea wind just like some sadgi ki moorat. I was like Oh My God!"
Meanwhile, Ranveer has delivered one of the biggest hits of the year with Karan Johar's comeback film 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani', which stars Alia Bhatt in the co-lead, earlier this year.
Both Deepika and Ranveer will be parts of Rohit Shetty's cop film 'Singham Again', which also features Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead.
Deepika and Ranveer starred together in films like 'Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela', 'Bajirao Mastani', 'Padmaavat, '83' et al.
