India Blooms News Service | | 27 May 2015, 06:18 pm
Mumbai, May 27 (IBNS): Farhan Akhtar suffered a throat infection a few weeks ago and since then he has gone the vegetarian way.
The ace actor was recommended to eat a lighter meal due to the infection but has continued being vegetarian since then.

Farhan has taken it up as more of a detox. He has been eating a lot of fruits, vegetables and pulses in his meal.

There is a complete shift in his diet and his team has actively been looking out for more vegetarian food options.

It has become more of a mental discipline exercise for Farhan now.

After Bhaag Milkha Bhaag where he maintained a strenuous regime physically and mentally underwent an absolute change. Going vegetarian is a similar thought.

Farhan has decided to adhere to this every once in a while. He finds it healthy both for the body and mind.

Farhan says, "I have been on a vegetarian diet since the last couple of weeks. It's like a detox for the body and given this heat wave we're enduring, it’s helped in keeping my energy level up."
