Kangana Ranaut to Sandeep Reddy Vanga: 'Don't ever give me any role otherwise...'
Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, who is often caught in the midst of controversy, has sarcastically responded to filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga's eagerness to work with the 'Queen' star.
In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Sandeep, who is criticised for featuring hypermasculine characters in his films, said she would like to collaborate with Kangana whose performances have impressed him.
"If I feel she will fit into it, I will go and narrate the story. I genuinely liked her performance in Queen and so many other films," Sandeep said.
Responding to Kangana's criticism of Sandeep's last film Animal, the filmmaker said, "If she is giving a negative comment about Animal, I don't mind. I don't get angry also because I have watched her works a lot. I don't feel bad."

In response, Kangana posted X, "Review and criticism are not the same, every kind of art should be reviewed and discussed, it is a normal thing. The way Sandeep ji showed respect towards me by smiling at my review, it can be said that he not only makes manly films, his attitude is also manly, thank you sir .
"But please don't ever give me any role otherwise your alpha male heroes will become feminist and then your films will also be beaten, you make blockbusters, the film industry needs you."

In her personal review of Animal, which featured Anil Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Triptii Dimri in the lead, Kangana slammed the film saying people flocking to theatres to watch "women beating films" is "discouraging".
She had posted on X, "Paid negativity for my films is overwhelming, I have been fighting hard so far but even audiences are encouraging women beating films where they are treated like sex objects and asked to lick shoes, this is deeply discouraging for someone who has been dedicating her life for woman empowerment films, might shift career in coming years, want to give best years of my life to something worthwhile."

Animal, which hit the theatres in December last year, is centred on Ranbir's toxic relationship with his father played by Anil Kapoor.
The plot shows Ranbir would go to any length to protect his father, even impacting his relationship with his wife Geetanjali.
Despite widespread criticism for the alleged violence and misogyny, Animal delivered meaty box office numbers.
Like Animal, Sandeep's previous films Kabir Singh, Arjun Reddy too were slammed for showing hyper masculinity in the films.
Kabir Singh, which is the Hindi remake of Vijay Deverakonda starrer Telugu film, featured Shahid Kapoor in the lead.
