Sachin Tendulkar reviews Kiran Rao's Laapataa Ladies, praises its delightful story'

Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar praised Kiran Rao-directed movie Laapataa Ladies and said he loved the delightful story.

In his honest review after watching the movie, Tendulkar wrote on X: "A big-hearted fable set in small-town India that speaks to one at so many levels. I loved @LaapataaLadies for its delightful story, powerhouse performances and the subtlety with which it delivered important social messages so cleverly, without overt preaching. A must-watch for everyone, and trust me, you will laugh, cry and rejoice with the characters as they find their destinies in the movie. A big congratulations to my friends Kiran Rao & Aamir Khan!"

About the movie

  Laapataa Ladies is a 2023 Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama film directed by Kiran Rao and produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao and Jyoti Deshpande.

The film stars Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Chhaya Kadam and Ravi Kishan.

The film was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on 8 September 2023. 

The movie released on March 1.

As per Sacnilk.com, the movie minted estimated Rs. 8.75 crore nett at the domestic box office so far.
