Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor have ended their relationship: Reports
Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood actors Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor have parted their way respectfully, several reports said.
The couple are committed to deal with their decision to end the relationship in a dignified manner, PinkVilla reported.
PinkVilla quoted a source who says, "Malaika and Arjun had a very special relationship and both of them will continue to hold a special place in each other's hearts.
"They have chosen to part ways and will maintain a dignified silence in this matter. They won’t allow anyone to drag and dissect their relationship."
The source adds, "They had a long, loving, fruitful relationship that has unfortunately run its course now. That doesn’t mean there is any bad blood between them. They respect each other hugely and have been a pillar of strength for each other. Over the years, they have given their relationship a lot of respect.
"They will continue to give each other the same respect despite them deciding to part ways. Both of them were in a serious relationship for years, and they expect people to be gracious enough to give them space at this emotional time."
When Arjun was asked about his future with Malaika at chat show Koffee With Karan, he had said, "I don't want to speak about anything specifically right now because I think that's unfair to the relationship to talk alone about it."
Arjun and Malaika, who made their relationship official in 2019, were often subjected to online trolling for their age difference.
Responding to a question over the trolling he and Malaika receive, the actor had said, "There's no person that's not being affected, it's about dealing with it. But it also shows their upbringing and their culture to those people who are putting up random comments. You also know that they're trying to get your attention."
"Then I realized I have to allow it to sink in and understand the reason why these desperate people are trying to get my attention and try to detach myself from the reaction. Does it affect me? Yes, it does. You might see something that randomly shows up. It could be a meme or a meme page, they might be doing it to get likes."
