More than a decade after the team made a lasting impression in the hearts of the audience, Anurag Kashyap's critically acclaimed movie Gangs of Wasseypur will re-release in Indian movie theatres on Friday.

With no major releases scheduled to hit the silverscreen this weekend, several movies, including  R Madhavan-Dia Mirza’s Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein (2001) and folk horror Tumbbad (2018) will enjoy a rerun on Indian theatres.

Sharing a poster of the movie, Anurag wrote on Instagram: " In three days the Gang will be back again .. GOW back in cinemas."

The movie was originally shot as a single film. The duration of the movie was 321 minutes.

The gangstar movie released in two parts in 2012.

The movie earned success at the box office.

Production house Pooja Entertainment asked fans to once again cherish the magical moments of 2001 by watching RHTDM in cinema halls.

"23 years later, love finds its way back to the big screen. Relive the magic of timeless romance with #RehnaaHaiTerreDilMein!" the producers wrote  on Instagram.

"Re-Releasing in Cinemas THIS FRIDAY 30th August 2024! Are you excited?" it said.

The movie featured Dia Mirza, Saif Ali Khan and R Madhavan in the lead roles.
