Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood star Alia Bhatt's much anticipated film Jigra, which is directed by Vasan Bala, is a story about sister-brother love.

The film features young Vedang Raina, who made his debut with The Archies, playing Alia's brother.

Alia, who is a massively popular actress in India, took to social media to update her fans with the trailer launch, which is going to be held soon.

She wrote on X, "Phoolon ka taaro ka, sabka kehna hai #JigraTrailer ab jald hi aa raha hai #Jigra in cinemas 11th October."

This is the first film where Alia's production house Eternal Sunshine collaborated with Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.

The film, which will hit the big screens on October 11, is about a sister's love for her brother and how she would protect him.

In Jigra, Alia turned a singer again teaming up with Diljit Dosanjh. The two sung and featured in music video Chal Kudiye, which has already been unveiled by the makers.

Earlier, the two featured in music video Ikk Kudi from the 2016 film Udta Punjab, where Alia starred alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Apart from Udta Punjab, Alia featured as a singer in the 2014 film Highway. In the same year, she sang the acoustic version of Samjhawan from Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.
