'She is the answer to our prayers': Deepika and Ranveer name their daughter Dua Padukone Singh

Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood power couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, one of the massively popular Hindi film stars, turned proud parents on September 8, 2024.

A week less than two months after the birth of their daughter, the couple on Friday revealed the name of the baby on the occasion of Diwali.

Deepika and Ranveer shared a picture featuring the feet of their baby and revealed that she is named Dua Padukone Singh.

"'Dua' : meaning a Prayer. Because She is the Answer to our Prayers. Our hearts are filled with Love & Gratitude," the couple wrote in the post.

Several B-Town stars including Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Arjun Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Bipasha Basu showered love on the post.

Deepika, a massive star in India, announced her pregnancy with her husband Ranveer on February 29, 2024.

After years of dating, Deepika and Ranveer tied the knot in 2018 at Lake Como, Italy away from media glares.

On the work front, both Deepika and Ranveer last featured in the Hindi film, Singham Again, which released in theatres on November 1 on the occasion of Diwali.
