Mumbai, Sept 18 (IBNS) Looks like the makers of Calendar Girls have struck a chord with Pakistani nationals, but not in a good way.

Apparently, the film that is set to release on 25th September, has received a Fatwa from Pakistan due to some content, which portrays the country in bad light.

One of the girls in the film features as being of Pakistani origin and delivers a dialogue - “Pakistani ladkiyan bhi utne hi bold kaam karti hai jitni baki ladkiya karti hai; balki kabhi kabhi usse zyada bhi.” (Pakistani girls do equally bold work as other girls; and sometimes more than them too)

They feel the dialogue portrays Pakistani girls and culture in false pretence, and the movie will be a bad influence on young girls in their country.

This has upset the Pakistani officials who have decided to ban ‘Calendar Girls’ in Pakistan.
