Mumbai, July 16 (IBNS) Bollywood beauty Katrina Kaif, who was last seen on the silver screen with Aamir Khan in action-thriller 'Dhoom', turned 30 on Wednesday.

Media reports suggest the the birthday girl will celebrate the day with 'good friend' Ranbir Kapoor in Corsica.

Meanwhile, another Bollywood leading lady Deepika Padukone wished Katrina on her birthday as she tweeted: " Happy Birthday #Katrina!Lots of love & hope you have the bestest year ever!:-) "

Katrina, however, is not on Twitter.

The British Indian model-turned-actress took Bollywood by storm when she entered the glamour industry almost a decade ago.

Born to Kashmiri father Mohammed Kaif and British mother Susanna Turquotte, Katrina began her modeling career in Hawaii at the age of fourteen and her first assignment was for a jewelry campaign.

She continued modeling in London under a contract with the Models 1 Agency and did campaigns for houses such as La Senza and Arcadius, and even walked the ramp at the London Fashion Week.

Katrina made her Bollywood debut in the movie ‘Boom' in 2003 and later on featured in hit films like ‘Sarkar’, ‘Race’, ‘Raajneeti’, ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’, 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara', 'Ek Tha Tiger', 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' and others.

Katrina, who could hardly speak Hindi, has managed to grab the language well over the years and is determined to carve a niche for herself in the industry.

From acting to item songs, Bollywood's 'Sheila' has won accolades with her beauty and screen presence.
