Mumbai, Apr 9 (IBNS): The makers of the upcoming musical 'Kaanchi' have released the video for their original Badtameezi song, 'Thumka'.

The video shows actor Rishi Kapoor grooving to the foot tapping beats of the song.

Pulling off the flamboyant retro look with flair, he is seen matching steps with dancers dressed in vibrant hues.

Sonu Nigam and Suzanne D’mello have sung the peppy song. ‘Thumka’ is a groovy and upbeat number, and is sure to get the listener hooked on.

The lyrics have been penned by the wizard of words Irshad Kamil and the supremely talented duo Salim-Sulaiman have composed the track.

'Kaanchi' is the story of an innocent rural beauty Kaanchi, played by debutante actress Mishti, and her struggle to fight for her rights against power.

Directed by Subhash Ghai and co-starring Rishi Kapoor, Mithun Chakraborty, Kartik Aaryan, Chandan Roy Sanyal and Rishabh Sinha in pivotal roles, the musical drama is produced by Mukta Arts.

It is slated to release on Apr 25.
